Across Michigan, support from both the business community and ISD’s are key to the success of this platform. Where Industry Collaborates with Education
The “Give Me TEN” program gives business/industry a simplified way to work with local schools. Work based learning is now being recognized as a career pathway to success. Four-year colleges are not the only answer to a successful career, the trade industry has much to offer. This program is the kick start to creating your employees from the ground up. It also opens the door to being a part of the educational system of training your future workforce.

The MCPA Conference will present valuable information for any new or seasoned professional that engages in work-based learning (CTE, Non-CTE, Special Ed/Transition) and career exploration. Highlights of the conference include State Updates (OCTE, Youth Employment, Pupil Accounting); ways to market your WBL program, ideas for strengthening your Career Training and Career Development activities, Youth Apprenticeship model examples, EDP options, and an employer panel. In addition, we will announce our student scholarship recipients, MCPA Honoree of the Year and hold a Regional Meeting.
